
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His first role was the role of a private detective Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988), for which he received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series which he won in 1985. In the series Blue Bloods, Selleck has appeared as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he has played the character of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. Also, he's been in nine TV movies that are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also been seen in movies in the role of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). From the time of Magnum, P.I., his appearances have included more than 50 television roles and film, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a frequent TV actor on the show playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming and charming lover, on The Rockford Files; and A.J., casino owner.
