Charissa Thompson

Thompson was fired by FOX Sports in 2009 and started hosting for Versus Sports and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was the anchor of Versus' NHL studio coverage as well as recorded web-based videos on the popular Yahoo platform. She was also responsible for its presence at some of the most prestigious occasions, such as those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. Her show was successful in both areas, which resulted in her joining ESPN in August of 2011. In this role she hosted the new afternoon program "Numbers Never lie" that was broadcast on ESPN. In July 2012, she switched to the show that became known as "SportsNation," enjoying a long-lasting and successful show that ran until she resigned from the network in order to come back to Los Angeles for the launch of FS1 in May 2013. As a sports lover at heart, Thompson has also shown the impressive versatility to cross over into the entertainment realm of TV. Following a string of temporary opportunities and promotions, she was appointed co-hosting the nightly Hollywood news magazine "Extra," in June 2014. In her role, she taped segments at Universal Studios while also staffing awards shows and other celebrity gatherings on a regular basis. Charissa Charissa Charissa
